Łukasz Prus-Niewiadomski (Łukasz Niewiadomski)
(b. 1985, Oran, Algeria) is a visual artist working with photography, video-performance and installation. He received his BA in 2010 under Professor Grzegorz Przyborek and his MA in 2012 under Professor Józef Robakowski at the Polish National Film School in Lodz; in 2021 he was awarded the Doctor of Arts degree there (discipline: Film and Theatre Arts). He lectures at the Institute of Artistic Education in Warsaw and at Film School in Lodz, and is a lecturer at the International Winter Academy in Scheersberg (Germany). His work has been shown at the 15th Media Art Biennale “Pioneering Values” (Wrocław), CinemaLab at the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle (Warsaw), Bunkier Sztuki (Kraków), the Gallery of Contemporary Art (Opole), Wozownia Gallery (Toruń), Imaginarium Gallery (Łódź), Studio Gallery (Warsaw), Brotfabrik (Berlin), and The Performance Studio (London), as well as at the CAMERIMAGE Festival and the Two Riversides Film and Art Festival (Kazimierz Dolny/Janowiec on the Vistula). He has participated in international projects including “Shaping Time” (PWSFTviT/Flaggfabrikken, Bergen), “Hit the Ground” with the Swiss artists’ group Relax Studio, and “Skraj / Am Rand,” a project for artists from Poland and Germany.
